FAQs
This mechanism is unique to British Berkefeld water filtration cartridges for unparalleled sealing and maximum biological protection. The design of the water filtration cartridges is 100% natural (submicro clay ceramic, and coconut shell charcoal), filtration threshold of 0.2 micron. The filtration of British Berkefeld cartridges makes it possible to preserve minerals and trace elements. The passage of water is always from the outside to the inside of the water filtration cartridge. With a British Berkefeld mobile filter, filtration is instantaneous, without water discharge, without energy consumption, maintenance is simplified with an annual replacement (at the most) of the water filtration cartridges.
Filtration Certifications and Approvals: NSF ANSI 42 & 53 (CSTB equivalence), WRAS, WQA. Genuine quality product made in England.

Nitrates are mineral salts, therefore not eliminated as for Calcium and Magnesium.
To eliminate Nitrates, the anti-nitrate option will be used, which is a second cartridge based on anionic resin capable of retaining them.
The Doulton filter, like any drinking water filtration system, must be used in cold water (activated carbon is not recommended in hot water). In the event of accidental passage of hot water there is no risk if the return to cold water is done quickly.
On average, a family of four consumes approximately 8 liters of water per day for cooking and drinking.
Note: a cartridge that is perfectly clean after one year must be changed as this does not bode well for contaminants retained by the activated carbon located inside the ceramic.
